You might be the one biking, walking or swimming but that doesn't mean you can't get your surrounding involved in raising money for your cause.
Fundraising is more than just asking your friends and family to donate money to your cause. To get your fundraising started involve others as well. Here are some examples you can use BUT feel free to come up with your own ideas and if you have any questions just get in touch on community@cafnec.org.au
Ask 5 friends to donate 2 items they are happy for you to sell online (e.g. Facebook Market).
If you sell each for $20, you'll already have raised $200. Doesn't that sound great?
Get in touch with your local sport club (athletics or swimming might be a fitting one) and ask them if they could have a special day for your cause.
Set up a 'coin' jar at your office and spread the word at your work place what you are doing and you would appreciate any donations to your cause or encourage some of your colleagues to join you in the challenge.
Set up an account for Container for change and start collecting. Ask friends and family to give you their cans as well. Drop them off at your nearest Container for change facility, get your refund and donate to yourself on the challenge.
